IOTA

O programa IOTA foi criado por Geoff Watts, um importante radioescuta inglês, em meados de 1960. Quando ele foi absorvido pela RSGB (Liga de Radioamadores Inglesa) em 1985, tornou-se o diploma favorito de muitos radioamadores. Sua popularidade cresce a cada ano entre os radioamadores de todo o mundo.
O programa IOTA consiste em dezoito diplomas individuais licenciados, que cumprem as regras gerais, os quais devem produzir evidências de terem mantido comunicações bilaterais com um requerido número de estações radioamadorísticas localizadas em ilhas, que tanto podem ser oceânicas ou regionais. Muitas das ilhas são consideradas países para o DXCC, outras não.
O interessante do IOTA é que ele envolve ilhas que não são frequentemente visitadas pelo homem, obrigando-os a grandes sacrifícios para lá chegarem, tão somente com a finalidade de oferecer oportunidade de contato a um grande número de radioamadores espalhados por todo o mundo. |

IARU
THE INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR RADIO UNION |
In recognition of international two-way amateur radio communication, the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) issues Worked-All-Continents certificates to amateur radio stations of the world.
Qualification for the WAC award is based on an examination by the International Secretariat, or a member-society, of the IARU of QSL cards that the applicant has received from other amateur stations in each of the six continental areas of the world.
All contacts must be made from the same country or separate territory within the same continental area of the world. |

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR AMATEUR RADIO |
The WAS (Worked All States) Award is available to all amateurs worldwide who submit proof with written confirmation of having contacted each of the 50 states of the United States of America.
The WAS Awards program includes 10 different awards. |
DXCC
THE ARRL DX CENTURY CLUB PROGRAM |
ARRL
THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR AMATEUR RADIO |
The DX Century Club is the premier operating award in all of Amateur Radio.
The basic certificate is awarded for working and confirming at least 100 entities on the ARRL DXCC List. |

| The CQ Worked All Zones (WAZ) Award and its variations are issued to any licensed amateur station presenting proof of contact with the appropriate number of CQ zones of the world.
It is sponsored by CQ magazine. |
| THE CQ WPX AWARD PROGRAM |

The CQ WPX Award recognizes the accomplishments of confirmed
QSOs with the many prefixes used by amateurs throughout
the world.
Separate, distinctively marked certificates are available
for SSB, CW, and Mixed (CW and SSB/Phone). Please note that
CQ is no longer issuing VPX and WPNX awards. |

The CQ DX Award is issued in three categories.
The CQ DX CW Award is issued to an amateur radio station submitting proof of contact with 100 or more countries.
The CQ DX SSB Award is issued to an amateur radio station submitting proof of contact with 100 or more countries.
The CQ DX RTTY Award is issued to an amateur radio station submitting proof of contact with 100 countries using two-way RTTY.
Applications should be submitted on the official CQ DX Award application (form 1067B).
Reasonable facsimiles or computer printouts are also acceptable. |
